Treatment
relaxation and inner cleansing
Ear candling is a complementary method in which a hollow, gently burning candle (ear candle) is carefully placed at the entrance of the ear. Within the practice, this treatment is used as a moment of deep relaxation, stillness and inner balance.
Many people experience the treatment as a soothing ritual in which tension can ease and a sense of space, lightness and relaxation can arise in the head and ear area.
The treatment is always carried out in a calm setting, with attention to safety, comfort and experience.
In practice, the ear candle treatment is often referred to as "Hopi ear candles". Within my training and tradition, this method has been passed down as a traditional technique with roots in ancient indigenous customs of North America, including those of the Hopi people.
According to this tradition, the method was applied as part of a soothing and cleansing ritual, in which warmth, light and subtle smoke were used to support relaxation, purification and inner stillness. The ear was seen here as a sensitive and important point of contact within the whole energetic system of the human being.
Within this tradition, the focus was not only on the physical aspect, but above all on the experience of surrender, calm and energetic cleansing.
In contemporary practice, this method has come to Europe through various lineages and trainings and has been further developed within complementary and holistic care.
Within my approach, this traditional method is applied with respect in a modern, safe and professional setting.
The treatment is used as a moment of relaxation, stillness and awareness, with the emphasis on supporting wellbeing and inner balance.
The intention is not medical, but aimed at creating space, calm and relaxation, in line with the spiritual and traditional heritage of this method.
Ear candles are often experienced as pleasant in cases of:
Many people experience the treatment as a gentle support to come out of their thoughts and sink more into relaxation and presence.
The treatment is carried out calmly and carefully in a safe setting.
The ear candle is placed on the outer side of the ear and used in a controlled way according to a fixed and safe method. The session is always tailored to the person and the moment, with attention to comfort, calm and experience.
After the treatment, there can be room, if appropriate, for extra relaxation and integration.
The focus is on relaxation and wellbeing and not on treating medical complaints.
Ear candles are a mild method, but not suitable in every situation. Safety and careful attunement always come first.
Ear candles are not used in cases of:
Although ear candles are often experienced as relaxing, it is important to know that this is an external, complementary method and not a medical treatment of the ear or auditory organ.
Ear candle treatment is a complementary wellbeing method and does not replace medical, ENT-related or other professional care. In case of ear problems, pain, hearing loss or doubt, it is always advised to consult a doctor or ENT specialist.
