Absenteeism Prevention: Vitality in the Workplace

Supporting teams, workload and sustainable employability

Vitality in the workplace at Vuurdraak

Foot bath for teams and employees

Some occupations demand a great deal of body and mind, day in, day out. Think of employees in greenhouse horticulture, flower nurseries, garages, workshops, production environments, logistics and the industrial sector. People who work long days, stand or walk a great deal and work in an environment with a wide variety of materials, substances and influences.

It is precisely for these groups that it can be valuable to consciously build in a moment of calm now and then.

The foot bath offers a special experience in which relaxation, well-being and personal attention take centre stage. Over the course of 35 to 45 minutes, space arises to let go of the busyness of the day, to come to rest and to give yourself some attention for a moment. Many participants experience the session as a moment of relaxation, renewed energy and a sense of relief after an intensive working day.

With several foot baths, sessions can be organised in small groups, allowing larger teams and departments to take part as well. This makes it a valuable addition to a vitality programme, team day, departmental outing or as a relaxed conclusion to a busy working week.

This experience is particularly appreciated among flower growers, greenhouse horticulture employees, mechanics, technicians and workers within the industrial sector. Not only because of its relaxing character, but also because of the sense of renewal and well-being that many participants describe afterwards.

Calm · Relaxation · Renewal · New Energy

Intake and safety (medical history beforehand)

Prior to taking part in the sessions, a medical history form is used which employees complete in advance.

The purpose of this form is to gain insight, in a careful and professional manner, into relevant points of attention regarding health, resilience and any contra-indications.

On the basis of this information, an assessment is made of whether participation is possible in a responsible way within the sessions offered.

If there are indications where extra caution is advisable, or when it is not appropriate to take part, it is always advised to first contact a doctor or attending healthcare provider.

The medical history form is treated confidentially and used solely for the safe and responsible execution of the sessions.
