Approach
At Vuurdraak we look at your situation together. By combining insights from Traditional Chinese Medicine with complementary treatment methods and modern techniques, we can choose an approach that fits your personal needs.
How it works
We start with an introduction and intake, taking our time to get to know your situation.
Together we map out what is going on and where your needs lie.
Based on the whole picture, we attune the guidance to your situation, your pace and your goals.
I use the methods that best fit at that moment — as support for the process, not as a goal in themselves.
We keep looking at what works and adjust where needed, so the guidance keeps matching you.
At Vuurdraak I don’t only look at a complaint or request for help, but at the person as a whole. That is why I don’t work according to fixed protocols, and an appointment is not comparable to a beauty salon, where a specific treatment is chosen in advance.
Every method has its own characteristics, possibilities and points of attention. That is why every appointment begins with an intake and case history. Based on your story, situation and needs, we look together at which form of guidance or support fits best.
Sometimes one method fits your situation well, sometimes a combination of different methods turns out to be more suitable. During the intake we also look at any contra-indications and whether a treatment can be applied responsibly.
Within Vuurdraak I use various complementary methods that can complement one another.
Using therapeutic tuning forks and singing bowls, we work on relaxation, calm, balance and awareness. Many people experience these sessions as a valuable moment to return to themselves.
The MWO is used as part of a complementary programme focused on relaxation and wellbeing. Clients often experience the sessions as calming and supportive in regaining balance.
This fully automatic massage chair offers various massage programmes for the whole body. The Zero Gravity position creates a weightless feeling, allowing the body to relax more easily.
Cupping is an ancient treatment method in which a vacuum is created on the skin using fire cupping or vacuum cupping. Many people choose cupping for tense muscles, a feeling of stiffness or when they need relaxation and recovery. Which form of cupping is applied is carefully attuned during the intake to the person, the request for help and any contra-indications.
A relaxing treatment that many people experience as a moment of calm for body and mind.
A moment of slowing down, relaxation and attention for yourself. In various traditions water symbolises letting go, cleansing and creating room for new energy.
A relaxing treatment in which attention and touch are central. Many people experience this as a valuable moment of rest and personal care.
A combination of self-reflection, awareness and intuitive guidance. These sessions can offer new insights and support personal development. A reading can also be booked separately.
People find their way to Vuurdraak for a wide variety of reasons. Often it concerns a need for more calm, relaxation, balance or support during challenging periods in life.
In addition, people regularly come who are dealing with stress, mental or emotional strain, fatigue, feelings of being overwhelmed or physical tension. I also welcome people who, alongside regular care, are looking for additional support focused on wellbeing, relaxation and quality of life.
An example from practice
Recently someone came in convinced that a session with the Multi Wave Oscillator would be best for his back complaints. During the intake, however, it turned out that tension, posture and prolonged strain played an important role. In that case a session in the fully automatic shiatsu chair suited his situation and needs far better.
Vuurdraak offers complementary support and is not a replacement for regular medical care.
I do not make medical diagnoses, do not treat illnesses and make no medical claims. For health complaints I always advise contacting a general practitioner or medical specialist. Where necessary I refer to a suitable healthcare professional.
The guidance and treatments within Vuurdraak are focused on relaxation, awareness, personal development and supporting general wellbeing.
It is precisely the combination of regular care and complementary support that can be valuable for many people. That is why I am happy to work together with other healthcare professionals when this is in the client’s interest.
At Vuurdraak I don’t work with a strict clock. A session usually lasts at least one hour, but when the situation calls for it an appointment can last longer. It is not time that is central, but the attention that is needed at that moment.
Vuurdraak is a place for relaxation, awareness, support and personal growth. A place where you can step away from the hustle of everyday life and learn again to listen to what your body and mind are trying to tell you.
Sometimes it is wise to consciously pause for a moment, before life forces you to stop.
Not the question
Which treatment do you want?
But rather
What do you need to experience more balance, relaxation, recovery or resilience?
