Coaching – awareness, balance and personal strength

Personal coaching at Vuurdraak

Within my practice I offer personal coaching and integrative guidance in which various forms of my work can come together.

It is intended for people who long for more clarity, balance and inner calm in their life or work. The guidance looks at the person as a whole: physically, mentally and in their experience.

The coaching can be used on its own or in combination with other methods within the practice, such as body-oriented sessions and forms of relaxation.

Integrative approach

In the coaching, depending on the need, various working forms can be used, such as:

  • reflective conversations
  • body-oriented awareness
  • sound and vibration (such as tuning forks)
  • moments of relaxation and recovery
  • reflection and insight cards
  • observation of tension, strain and patterns

This creates a broad and tailored guidance process in which there is room for insight, calm and personal development.

Aim of the coaching

The coaching is aimed at:

  • more insight into yourself and your patterns
  • increasing inner calm and a clear overview
  • restoring the balance between strain and recovery
  • strengthening personal resilience
  • supporting choices in work and private life
  • increasing awareness and the sense of the body

This process is not therapy and does not replace medical or psychological treatment, but it can be supportive within a broader development or recovery context.

Experience and approach

As a chief examiner within the Eastern martial arts and as coach of a national team for athletes with a disability, including people with autism and Down syndrome, I have gained extensive experience in guiding a wide range of people with different needs and levels of support.

In this role it has become increasingly clear to me how important tailored work, attunement and genuine attention are in guidance.

Coaching is not only about listening, but also about being able to carefully recognise, name and reflect back what you observe. This can contribute to insight, recognition and personal development.

Sometimes the value lies precisely in helping to clarify experiences, in a respectful and non-judgemental way, so that room arises for growth and awareness.

How it works

The coaching takes place in a calm and confidential setting. Every process is tailored and attuned to the person, the question and the moment.

Depending on the need, the guidance can consist of a single one-off session or a process of several conversations in which depth and integration are central.

Where appropriate, coaching can be combined with other forms of guidance within the practice.

Important positioning

The coaching within my practice is a form of complementary guidance aimed at awareness, balance and personal development.

It is not a medical, psychological or psychiatric treatment and does not replace professional care.

Disclaimer

This coaching is offered as complementary guidance and is intended to support personal development and wellbeing. It does not replace medical, psychological or other professional care. In case of complaints or doubt, it is advised to consult a doctor or qualified healthcare provider.
